Blackberry - Rubus allegheniensis

 Blackberry - Rubus allegheniensis
This member of the Rose family can be told from a Raspberry by its angular stem. Asa Gray considered there to be some 200 species of "bramble" in the southern mountains. Not all of these are blackberries, but many are similar enough to cause identification problems, even among experts.
