Bruce's White Phlox
- Phlox stolonifera var. Bruce's White
This member of the Phlox
family was actually discovered, in the wild, by a friend of mine's
mother. Some of the wild colony was removed and cultivated at
the family farm. Many people considered it to be simply a mutant
form of Phlox stolonifera, but a sample was given to the
director of the National Arboretum and subsequent genetic analysis
established it as a viable species.
