Cauliflower Mushroom
- Sparassis crispa
While mushrooms are not a strong suit for me I believe, and have
a second opinion that agrees with this identification. This was
growing beside the steps leading down to my mailbox. This and
a related species, Sparassis spathulata, are prized edibles
when young. Yet another example of beauty all around us if only
we look.
