Cinnamon Fern -
Osmunda cinnamomea
This fern frequently grows up to 3 feet in height. This species
features two different fronds. The first is what we commonly
think a fern look likes. In actuality, these are sterile in this
species. The second type frond is the rusty looking one in the
middle. This is the fertile frond where the sporangea are located.
Its cinnamon color led to the common name.
