Crown Vetch - Coronilla varia

 Crown Vetch - Coronilla varia
This is an introduced member of the Pea family, and is often planted to stabilize steep banks along roadways. The globular clusters are quite showy. A hillside covered with these is really memorable. As do all members of the family, this species fixes nitrogen in the soil.
