Cullasaja Falls
Off of Highway 64, between Franklin and Highlands, NC, these
falls drop around 250 feet. The viewing area is very small and
is easier to get to traveling towards Highlands. The Cullasaja
Gorge is an amazingly beautiful place and, due to the extreme
elevation gain, gets a lot of precipitation each year - sometimes
reaching 100 inches which is the amount needed to be classified
as a "rain forest."
