Cut-leaved Toothwort
- Dentaria laciniata
Cut-leaved Toothwort
and its cousin, Toothwort, are members of the Mustard family.
The common name is derived from the toothlike projections found
on the rhizome. The rhizome has a distinctly peppery taste and
was chewed by American Indians for toothaches and as a cure for
colds.
