Dwarf Larkspur
- Delphinium tricorne
This member of the Buttercup
family is easily distinguished by the spurs for which it is named.
These contain a harmful alkaloid which frequently poisoned cattle
in mountain pastures. Milk produced by cattle which had fed on
this plant was unpalatable.
