Also known as the Strawberry
Bush, this member of the Staff Tree family grows as a small shrub
featuring small insignificant flowers in late spring to early
summer. Far more striking are the fruit which emerge from the
pod. The common name arose from the perceived resemblance of
fruit to a heart so filled with love that it couldn't hold it
in.
