Hobblebush - Viburnum alnifolium

 Hobblebush - Viburnum alnifolium
This is a member of the Honeysuckle family, and has the opposite leaves characteristic of the family. This species features two types of flower in each inflorescence. The large outer flowers are sterile, serving to attract insects and provide a landing area for them. These are usually found at higher elevations and bloom from April until early June.
