Hobblebush - Viburnum
alnifolium
This shrub can be identified
as a member of the Honeysuckle family by the opposite arrangement
of the leaves. In autumn these leaves turn a striking bronze-red
or purple-pink color. The name Hobblebush reflects a tendency
of the boughs to droop down and take root, forming dense thickets.
This species also has an interesting flower.
