A really neat tree featuring three leaf shapes on the same plant. Think of them as a glove, mitten and finger based on the three lobes, two lobes, or single blade. The root was used as a flavoring in soft drinks, and regionally to brew a tea. Recent studies indicate that if you were to drink sufficient quantities (seven or eight hundred gallons daily) it might be a carcinogenic. |
