Staghorn Sumac Fruit

Staghorn Sumac - Rhus typhina
Often visible well into winter, after the leaves have dropped, the fruit cluster of this sumac provides color when most of the landscape is brown. When fresh, the fruit can be soaked in water to produce a tea which tastes surprisingly like lemonade.
